Full time Position Term: Position Details: Summary of Duties:
The position is assigned to Facilities Operation Grounds Department and under general supervision performs a variety of skilled duties in grounds maintenance tasks for WSU Pullman campus. These duties include, but are not limited to; operating motorized equipment, turf maintenance, snow removal, landscape installation and renovations, plus plant material, irrigation and equipment maintenance. Required Qualifications: High school or equivalent and at least two (2) years experience working with youth, gardening, or in grounds maintenance; OR equivalent education/experience.
Two years experience operating grounds maintenance equipment or equivalent.
Must have by the time of hire and maintain a valid unrestricted driver's license.
Pesticide license - Public Operator. Acquired within first six months of employment.
Experience operating motorized vehicles, power equipment and hand tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Commercial driver's license endorsement acquired by time of hire (Class B).

Monthly Salary: Range 36 | $3,075 to $4,072 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 . WSU offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes: paid sick and vacation leave; paid holidays; medical, dental, life and disability insurance package for employees and dependents; retirement; deferred compensation and optional supplemental retirement accounts.
