Job summary
The Groomer at Abri Veterinary Hospital is responsible for maintaining the condition of the patients' coats.They provide grooming services such as bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and teeth brushing.The Groomer also engages with clients to understand expectations and ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
• Admitting patients and noting specific instructions from clients.• Determining veterinary services required during the client's visit.• Observing patient appearance and activity for signs of illness or disease.• Handling and restraining difficult patients when necessary.• Performing bathing and grooming services.• Staying up to date on new grooming techniques and trends.• Providing medication and general cleansing for each patient.• Explaining and educating clients on products sold.• Performing general maintenance of grooming room and yard.• Delivering final groomed patient to client and addressing concerns.
Requirements
• Full or part-time availability.• Ability to work on weekends.• Experience grooming and caring for animals.• Previous veterinary experience preferred.• Client satisfaction references preferred.• Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients over 25 pounds with assistance.• Practices OSHA safety techniques.• Ability to use proper PPE.
