JOB SUMMARY: Will assist faculty in greenhouses and lab with plant data collection and plant care, which includes watering, transplanting and harvesting. Other duties as assigned.JOB DUTIES: 50% - Essential - Greenhouse Research: assists faculty with execution of horticultural experiments, e.g., data collection.
30% - Essential - Plant Care: includes daily monitoring and care provide to research plants, e.g., watering, fertilization, pest scouting, transplanting and harvesting.
20% - Essential - Lab Research: assists Lab Technician with maintaining supplies and equipment in the floriculture research lab including clean-up and glassware washing. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education - High School or Equivalent - Work experience in a related health care setting or in a clinical or research laboratory setting; or 12 semester hours of academic training in biology and/or chemistry; or registration as a Certified Laboratory Assistant by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or an equivalent registry; or successful completion of a formal program of instruction for laboratory assistants at a hospital or academic institution.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines .
