Job Summary We are looking for individual to join our client's team as Graphic Arts Specialist. The Test and Trace Corps is looking for a Graphics Designer to join its in-house Communications Team. The Communications Team will be responsible for developing and executing a communications and media relations strategy with the goal of educating New Yorkers about the work of the Test and Trace Corps and steps we can all take to minimize transmission of COVID-19 in New York City. The strategy will leverage a variety of paid and earned platforms to deliver communications.
Job Description The Graphic Designer will develop, establishes, implements and monitor Human Resources Talent Acquisition promotional marketing materials, products, brochures, recruitment fairs, refreshing graph, publications and communication Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Graphics Designer of the Test and Trace Corps Communications Team will be responsible for:
Working in consultation with Communications Manager to create innovative, comprehensive, content-aligned creative solutions that resonate with a wide range of industries and diverse audiences; flexibly translates and interprets brand strategy and business objectives into comprehensive design solutions and compelling visual concepts Elevating and maintaining the integrity and excellence of the Test and Trace Corps brand in all communications; educating and championing the brand with internal/external audiences Executing creative assignments independently, from project inception through completion — delegating, directing and executing with excellence and focus across a wide range of communications (digital, print, environmental) Working in consultation with the T2 Communications team to manage project workflow and creative resourcing including defining and shaping project scope and schedules in alignment with external development/production requirements and schedules Protecting, maintaining and innovating creative processes and workflows that ensure accuracy and quality across all deliverables, maintaining a steadfast attention to detail, deadlines and budgets Creating and presenting compelling, engaging creative work to the Test and Trace Corps leadership, senior staff and within the Communications team and may lead meetings, presentations and discussions to gain support and elicit feedback for assigned communications projects Such other communications-related duties as may be assigned from time to time. Skills Required PC and/or OS operating systems Adobe suite of programs, including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop Microsoft Office suite Knowledgeable in:
Graphic design Page design and layout Developing creative content for digital and print channels Preferred skills:
Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of digital and print work Proven ability to interact with and coordinate with diverse internal departments, as well as with external partners and members of the media Strong written, verbal communications and social media skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Comfortable in a collaborative environment, and is considerate of others Works well under pressure/deadline and in a fast-paced environment Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related art or design major (PREFERRED) . 5 years of experience in digital and print design experience with a bachelor's degree Additional Requirements Shift Time: 09:00 AM - 5:00 PM   Pay Rate $48.00 per hour We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
