Charles River Community Health operates two community health centers and one school site, providing medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, and vision services to diverse underserved communities in Allston, Brighton, Waltham & surrounding areas. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), providing a Patient-Centered Medical Home for our patients and transitioning to value based care programs and further clinical integration of services. We are seeking a

Grants Manager

to play a key role in managing the life cycle of a large portfolio of existing government and foundation grants, conducting grant writing activities, and managing grants post-award including submitting needed reports and budget updates.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Secure government and private grant funding to meet CRCH's operating and capital budget needs. Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of entire grant proposal process, including constructing grant budgets and budget narratives. Keep abreast of health care industry changes and articulate complex topics in grant proposals including Accountable Care Organizations and value-based care, care management, and social determinants of health.

Meet or exceed department metrics around timely submission of grants and related reports, and percentage of grants awarded.

Stay up-to-date on grant funded staffing and program changes, and prepare and submit revised budgets post-award as needed in collaboration with finance staff and funders.

Manage a large portfolio of grants post-award, including preparing and submitting required data and reports to funders, monitoring grant spending and compliance to ensure funding spent on time and for designated purpose.

Develop and maintain good relationships with funders. Be well-informed of renewal and new grant opportunities.

Proactively work with staff to identify funding opportunities in alignment with departmental and budget needs.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, TRAITS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field

Three years' experience in grant writing and grant management, strong knowledge of health care. Experience managing government grants preferred.

Hybrid schedule of on-site and remote work available.

Strong attention to detail, organized, and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Proven ability to construct and manage grant budgets. Effective financial and analytical skills, including budget development, grant and contract management. Ability to ensure timely submissions and review of budgets and performance evaluations

Excellent, concise writing and editing skills.

Excellent research and analytic skills, comfortable working with data.

Strong skills in Excel, Word and other applications in Microsoft Office programs.

Ability to work independently and problem solve.
