Job Description SummaryThe Contracts Manager will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing contract leadership and expertise for commercial and government project teams across the Power Conversion North America portfolio. The successful candidate will report to Contracts Leadership and will have responsibility for the administration and oversight of contractual obligations and compliance. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering, extending, negotiating and terminating standard and nonstandard contracts. They will participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The Contracts Manager will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information. The Contracts Manager will be an embedded member of the program management team, supporting program success and new growth opportunities across the portfolio. This position will require a thorough understanding of contracting and experience negotiating complex terms and conditions and will primarily focus on continued execution of various direct USG and commercial sale procurement contracts, post-production support and warranty.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Support proposal activities, including but not limited to: analysis of the Request for Proposals, ensuring proper contract reviews and relevant compliance matrices are completed before any proposals are submitted to customer or any execution activities begin, with particular attention to the financial and business risks of the proposed effort, participating in all proposal team meeting, preparing terms, conditions and assumptions upon which the proposal may be submitted.Partner closely with the commercial teams and customers to assure a clear understanding of the contract terms and appropriate regulations before and during execution of the contract.Provide support and guidance to project teams during contract execution to ensure full compliance with contract terms and relevant government regulationsOffer innovative approaches to problem solving and develop solutions to contracting issues in supporting all phases of the acquisition cycleSupport sourcing with preparation of flow-down packages forsub-contractors/suppliersand managingsub-contractors/suppliersduring contract executionEnsure that proper FAR, DFARS, DEARS, and other commercial and government flow-down requirements are complied with in subcontracts and contractsEstablish records for government property by maintaining the property tracking systemProvide periodic accountability reports to internal and external customers as required to support contractual requirementsPreparing written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual mattersBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 6 years of experience in government and commercial contract formation and executionDomain expertise with Commercial terms and conditions, UCC, Federal Acquisition Regulations, with emphasis in Parts 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and DoD FAR Supplement, familiarity with Other Transaction Authority (OTA)Proven ability to draft and negotiate contractual languageDesired Qualifications:Experience with various contract types (i.e. Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and contract change managementContract Management Certification (Certified Professional Contract Manager, Certified Commercial Contract Manager, Certified Federal Contract Manager, Certified Contract Management Associate)Power industry contracting experience interfacing directly with commercial and government customers or prime contractorsClaims management experienceExtensive knowledge of contract formation and regulationsProficiency with Excel, Power Point, and WordSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and cohesively with teamsSolid oral and written communication skillsAnticipates, identifies, and resolves complex contractual issuesStrong interpersonal and leadership skills, with ability to build solid relationships with others in the pricing team, cost contributors, and managementHigh-energy team playerAbility to manage projects / assignments within tight deadlinesThe salary range for this position is $109,800.00 - 146,400.00 - 183,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
