Position Description:Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Metallurgical Technician to join our team.At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world's most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. The ideal candidate will possess a background in process mining and metals.Responsibilities:The successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform:Assist in metallurgical studies by executing sampling plans, preparing, and analyzing samples both in a lab and process plant setting Maintain laboratory and analytical equipment used in the process facility Ordering and stocking of process laboratory supplies Assists in reviewing new or enhanced metallurgical testing equipment or protocols Assists in evaluating and administering contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment Develops and maintains an understanding of applicable programs, practices and existing/proposed local, State and Federal regulations applicable to area of assignment Performs other duties as required Qualifications:Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in metallurgical, laboratory and processing analyses preferred Ability to collect samples, process and accurately report on resultsrequiredWorking ability in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)requiredAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsrequiredSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsrequiredAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingrequiredWhat We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!
