Reporting to the President, the Global Commissioning Director provides highly technical and commercial support to a global client base. The Global Commissioning Director will play a pivotal role overseeing installation, commissioning, repair and troubleshooting of rotating equipment. This leadership role requires, driving innovation, visionary leadership, and promoting of a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Develop SOP's, KPI's, and tools for commissioning cryogenic pumps and related electrical and mechanical systems at customer sites for LNG, marine, hydrogen, and other industrial applications. Responsible for the development and review of the cryogenic pump operating / maintenance manual. Excellent technical knowledge and firsthand experiences with cryogenic pump products. Develop training procedures and material needed to increase knowledge, competence, customer service, and sales. Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development to innovate and develop specials tools, design improvement, and customer feedback. Manage and develop a team for installation and commissioning activities. Salary Range:
$139,678 To $292,711
Oversee the development and execution of commissioning strategies to enhance mission efficiency, site material quality, and customer experience. Mentor and develop the commissioning staff to ensure technical, and commercial growth. Coordinate, monitor, and execute installation/ commissioning activities. Drive corrective action process within functional units. Develop SOP's, KPI's, and tools for commissioning cryogenic pumps and related electrical and mechanical systems at customer sites for LNG, marine, hydrogen, and other industrial applications. Develop training procedures and material needed to increase knowledge, competence, customer service, and sales. Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development to innovate and develop specials tools, design improvements, and customer feedback. Execute and monitor commissioning personnel, functional unit, and aftermarket training. Prepare and present regular reports on commissioning, site status and budget updates to senior management. Travel to sites to help install, commission, test, or troubleshoot equipment. Read assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and piping & instrumentation diagrams to confirm equipment functionality after it is built. Verify that the specifications of the equipment built are correct. Troubleshoot malfunctions as needed. Report and/or make recommendations to engineering for improvements on products. Work with the shop and sometimes assist with components' assembly or wiring as needed. Work with customers to decide work scope, provide quotations, necessary parts and tool lists and other logistic considerations necessary to prepare for field service personnel's work. Provide technical support to various internal teams. Maintain an at-home office for activities in between service calls, if not posted at ACD. Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Perform repair and troubleshooting activities. Provide on-site training to customers to improve the customers' ability to effectively operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment. Above average technical communication skills. Experience reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical and process prints and related technical documentation. Experience in mechanical and hydraulic calculations and data reductions Ability to discuss, diagnose and repair products. Ability to work at customer sites with little direct supervision. Ability to work safely and effectively within OSHA, and job local laws. Knowledge and experience with fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Knowledge and experience with system integration & industrial controls. Knowledge and experience with electrical systems and components (instrumentation, VFDs, etc.) Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering 6 + years minimum of related experience Expertise in cryogenic equipment / environment. Strong knowledge of industry regulations, and safety standards. Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with functional unites and intercompany departments. Previous experience in a high-travel role servicing rotating equipment internationally is preferred.
