Full job description Position Summary Under the direction of the Manager, Airport Operations Analysis and Planning, the GIS Analyst is responsible for planning and performing spatially-based business intelligence tasks pertaining to divisional GIS data management, including configuration and data maintenance; data collection, creation, and conversion based on project or task requirements; providing administrative/technical support for a GIS-centric inspection, work order, and service request system powered by the Cityworks platform; active participation in business workflow improvement and situational awareness initiatives; and providing data-related support to the Management & Operations division. In close coordination with the MAC Enterprise GIS Team, the position will configure and support business-specific GIS applications and partner closely with MAC IT on geospatial data development, application development, and change management processes.

Position Description Collaborates on the design of high-quality GIS solutions by identifying and evaluating options; preparing functional specifications; configuring the system; resolving solution issues; serving as a bridge between the business and the project team; creating and delivering related user documentation and end-user training. Performs data mining, report development, and creation of dashboards, maps and other deliverables related to work order history data and other divisional activities. Prepares project estimates by completing project plans, cost benefit analysis, and timelines. Digitize, create, convert, migrate, update, and maintain GIS data in airport databases. Performs system configuration and testing as needed to meet business needs. Applies project management methods, tools, and processes as standard practice. Supports development and enforcement of enterprise data governance practices that ensure data quality and timeliness. Develops repeatable quality control and maintenance processes (automated when possible) for divisional and enterprise data collection and management. Conducts a variety of geoprocessing and GIS analysis tasks, leading to strategic and tactical recommendations. In support of MAC's Cityworks system, develops, incorporates, and maintains GIS data. Participates in designing and executing business process improvements by mapping existing business workflows, coordinating with business units to identify opportunities for process improvements, and tailoring platform configurations (including Cityworks) to reflect optimized workflows, data sharing opportunities, and communications channels. Identifies and develops measurement tools and indicators, along with supporting Business Intelligence (BI) reporting depicting operational status against these key performance indicators. Three years of experience using GIS applications with technical data-related responsibilities. In lieu of a degree, seven years of experience using GIS applications with technical data-related responsibilities. Experience collecting, converting, and maintaining multiple types of GIS data. Experience with data mining and records research. Familiarity with quality assurance and control (QA/QC) methods for technical and GIS data acquisition, conversion, and maintenance. Experience using ESRI ArcGIS suite or equivalent for data conversion, analysis, application and map development. Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI or equivalent BI platform. Skills in analytical thinking, creative problem solving, resolving conflicts, and bringing others to consensus. Valid drivers license DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS Experience in airport management, specifically related to Part 139 operational requirements/workflows. Experience with ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Survey 123, and Collector for ArcGIS. Experience leveraging existing Feature Manipulation Engine or other ETL methodologies and technologies. Experience with Cityworks administration and support functions. Experience with developing BI datasets, visualizations, and reporting. Experience with Revit. Experience with use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent to view and convert legacy record drawings into GIS format.
