Job Description Job Summary: We are looking for a candidate to work as part of our East Region Dams Practice located in our Germantown, Maryland or Conshohocken, PA offices as a Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineer. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. Due to the nature of work that will be required in this position U.S. Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities: Provide technical support for projects including design, analysis, inspection, construction. observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures.  Prepare and perform quality reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications. Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects. Responsible for quality control. Lead and mentor junior staff. Develop engineering proposals. Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed. Assist and perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering.or demonstrated equivalency of experience/or education 6 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering. Demonstrated experience with dams and other hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation and/or new design and construction. Experience in relevant geotechnical engineering software programs such as Geostudio and gINT. Licensed as a Professional Engineer Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications : Master of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering. 10 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering Licensed as a Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain a PE in additional states within 6 months of employment Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
