As the Senior Computer Scientist, you will contribute to the development and refinement of detailed system architecture specifications to innovate legacy geospatial systems and maintain uniformity across NGA's systems. In a CI/CD environment, you will utilize your technical proficiencies and knowledge of legacy system architecture design, structure, and system components to solve complex, enduring technological system inadequacies. You will work collaboratively to understand the requirements and constraints of the system to create revisions for existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. You will develop and establish consistent architecture standards and specifications to maintain seamless data exchange, interoperability, and streamlined development processes to ensure that all components of the system interact properly for consistency, efficiency, compatibility, and optimized data transformation. You will contribute to enhanced data processing by leveraging algorithms, visualization innovations, machine learning integration, and data manipulation techniques to improve the speed and accuracy of geospatial analysis. Maturing concepts into functional prototypes, evaluating emerging technologies for potential adoption, transitioning successful prototypes into operational capabilities, your architecture contributions will shape the way that we see the world! Requirements: Must hold active TS/SCI Clearance Master's degree + 9 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree + 12 years of experience Experience in systems administration Experience utilizing DevOps processes and procedures Ability to provide Testing and Quality Assurance Proficiency in High/Low Deployment Strategies Ability to work within a CI/CD environment Proficiencies in python, scripting, and automation Proficient with GitLab, Docker, and Ansible Desired: Some DevSecOps experience Experience with 3 rd party libraries Experience utilizing Linux security patches Ability to provide developmental work Be the architect of your future!
