Coeur's headquarters are located in Chicago, IL.We are seeking aMine Geology Superintendentfor our Rochester operation near Lovelock, NV. This position will report to the Manager, Technical Services. The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership to the geology department.This position will require company-supported relocation to Northern Nevada to work a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule on-site at Coeur Rochester near Lovelock, NV.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee all employees within the Mine Geology groupEnsure ongoing effective management of staff by setting clear performance goals, providing regular feedback and development through training. Supervise in-pit geological and geotechnical analysis; respond and provide advice to questions regarding ore control, geological modeling, reconciliation, and geotechnical monitoring,Execute and support the generation of resource estimates. Execute and support the reconciliation of mine with mill data, and mine with reserve and resource estimates Identify, communicate, and champion optimization opportunities and risk mitigation,Effectively facilitate the cross-functional integration of the mine geology team with other departmentsControl costs with respect to mine geology and geotechnical monitoring and maximize efficiencies by implementing approved recommendations,Recommend alternative procedures, methods, and policies to improve performance, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational requirements,Oversee the development of policies and procedures with respect to geological modeling, grade control, and geotechnical monitoring,Oversee the preparation of technical reports and documentation to ensure compliance with industry and operational requirements,Manage databases and review data for production and reconciliation purposes,Provide assistance in the training and skill development with regards to technical issues in mine geology and geotechnical engineering,Ensure direct reports have appropriate support in their development, training, and coachingExperience & Qualifications:BS in Geology or Geological Engineering. Masters degree is an asset. Minimum of 10 years' experience in an open pit mining environmentExcellent understanding of economic geology and mineral depositsExcellent understanding of exploration drilling techniques, Sampling Theory, and QA/QCStrong leadership abilities in a production situationKnowledgeable in data management and geological and resource estimation toolsExcellent organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work effectively as part of a team effort as well as individuallyStrong interpersonal and both oral and written communication skillsAbility to work with all levels of the organizationExperience as a qualified person working with and signing off on Technical Reports (S-K 1300/NI 43-101)Excellent working knowledge of software such as Vulcan, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Microsoft ProjectGood written and oral communication and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteGo towww.coeur.comto apply for this position.It is the policy of Coeur Mining, Inc. and its direct and indirect United States subsidiaries (the"Company") to provide equal opportunity employment to all Employees and applicants foremployment.
