TITLE: GEOINT Standards Developer (Imagery Standards)

POSITION SUMMARY Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a GEOINT Standards Developer to join our team! This person will provide specialized advice and assistance on complex technical projects, ensure current and future GEOINT standards will satisfy capability requirements, and support Subject Matter Experts.
RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to development of Still and/or Motion Imagery Standards with the objective of facilitating compliance and interoperability through integration of NSG & ASG requirements while reducing technical and schedule risk in the following functional areas: Still and Motion Imagery standards including, but not exclusive to: National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF) standards. Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) standards. ISO Based Media File Format (IBMFF) standards. Hierarchical Data Format version 5 (HDF5) KLV (Key-Length-Value) standards. Imaging phenomenology and applications including, but not exclusive to: Electro Optical (EO) Large Volume Motion Imagery (LVMI)/Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) Infrared Motion Imagery Standards (IR) Multispectral Imaging (MSI) Hyper spectral imaging (HSI) Responsible for providing specialized advice and assistance on complex technical projects, independently performs a variety of system analysis, design and/or engineering tasks that are broad and innovative in nature. Participates in national level steering and advisory groups, panels, and committees. Advises/mentors technical personnel at all levels and reviews work for technical accuracy. Supports the strategic growth of scientific imagery programs. Supports the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on development of Still and/or Motion Imagery Standards with the objective of facilitating compliance and interoperability through integration of NSG & ASG requirements while reducing technical and schedule risk in the following functional areas: Ensure current and future GEOINT standards will satisfy capability requirements at the program and strategic level across the Agency, the NSG, and ASG. Develop capability-based standards profiles & reference architectures to enable search, discovery, access, and retrieval, integrated intelligence, and advanced analytics are enabled. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI security clearance. Master's degree, Bachelor's degree plus 2-year experience, Associates degree plus 4 years' experience, or a minimum of 6 years' experience, in relevant field Able to develop & use complex concepts & processes.
