Position Summary & Responsibilities: Position Summary: Incumbent will perform grounds maintenance duties for property under the control of the FM NCOIC. Duties to include: mowing, weed eating,
edging, removal of grass and weeds from sidewalks and all pavement cracks, maintain flowerbeds and other landscaped areas, apply lawn
chemicals and dispose of chemicals in accordance with all label information and pertinent regulations, perform shrub and tree trimming, and
tree removal including stump grinding. Incumbent will maintain clean sidewalks and walkways, replace, repair, and install concrete as required, perform street and parking lot cleaning duties utilizing street and parking lot cleaning equipment. Incumbent will repair or replace pavement backer rod and sealants, and install parking space designation signage. Incumbent duties also include providing facilities with ice melt, ice melt storage containers, and hand spreaders. Incumbent is an active member of the Snow Removal Team and will operate snow removal equipment such as vehicle attached snow plows, bob cats, salt and sand spreaders, brine solution production and application, and shovels. The maintenance and winterization of all grounds and snow removal equipment will be performed by the incumbent and to include cleaning of mowers, mower blade sharpening, weed eater cleaning and line replacement, edger sharpening and blade replacement, snow plow mechanisms, and Toro Workman periodic maintenance. Incumbent will maintain and repair cement courtyard walls and pavers, and lawn irrigation systems. Tools and equipment used by Incumbent may include bow saws, rakes, shovels, pruning shears, chain saws, hack saws, and bob cat attachments. Create bills of material to procure materials and supplies in association with grounds maintenance.
Incumbent will perform facility maintenance tasks such as: Paint all types of facility interior and exterior structures, man doors, overhead doors, hangar doors, access hatches, walls, and miscellaneous exterior located CE equipment such as lighting poles, bollards, and cabinets. Create bills of material to procure materials and supplies for work orders, fabricate and install wood/metal stud walls, apply mud and tape, and sanding of sheet rock to the proper smoothness for painting or wall covering. Incumbent has the ability to patch and paint all types of surfaces, including: Sheet rock, wood, metal, concrete block, brick, and concrete and asphalt pavements. Additional tasks to be performed by incumbent to include door weather seal replacement, personnel door lock maintenance and repair, adjustments and repairs for overhead doors, installing items for customers such as (not limited to) dry erase boards, plaques, and clocks. Trenching and back filling for CE purposes, moving of CE equipment and supplies with fork lifts or other equipment, installation of signage, fence and fence gate repairs, installation and replacement of carpeting and carpet squares, installation or replacement of ceiling grids and tiles, and installation and repair or replacement of vinyl and ceramic floor tile. Tools used by the Incumbent may include battery operated and corded drills, hammer drills, sawzalls, and everyday hand tools, such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, box knives, multimeters, etc.
Incumbent may be required to perform custodial duties to include trash pickup, total floor care, dusting, window cleaning, custodial
equipment repair, and general cleaning of common areas of facilities under the control of FM NCOIC. Incumbent will be required to maintain
clean/sanitary conditions in bathrooms, common areas, and other areas as directed.

This position can include duties to assist other shops with PM tasks such as: HVAC/Mechanical equipment filter changes, chiller and
condenser cleaning, P-trap flushing, etc. Light fixture lamp replacements and light fixture cleaning.

Incumbent will be required to use computer systems to send and receive work related emails, input bi-weekly time data, request quotes for
parts or supplies, and complete local computer based training.
Qualifications: Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one (1) year experience and/or training in grounds maintenance, facility maintenance and repair, and custodial work including operating operating commercial lawn and custodial equipment.
Must be able to work at heights up to 85 feet, lift 50 lbs and work in strenuous body positions.
Incumbent is subject to call back during non-duty hours and periodically work in inclement weather.
Must have a valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance as a Condition of Employment .


Preferred Qualifications :
Working knowledge of applicable OSHA and Air Force regulations and building codes.
Specialized knowledge, experience and ability to work in building trades and grounds maintenance, specifically operating commercial lawn equipment, snow and ice removal equipment, and be knowledgeable in custodial practices.
Incumbent will encounter chemical, thermal, mechanical, and other hazards.
