Our manufacturing client, located in Rensselaer, IN is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the operational processes within the company. They will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring product quality, optimizing operational efficiency, and leading a team of manufacturing professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing management, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a key role, fully ONSITE, reporting directly to the President of the Company.
General Manager Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to meet production goals and objectives. Oversee production scheduling to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization. Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team including procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and customer services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product development and sales. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures for the facility. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Represent the facility in meetings with senior management and stakeholders. General Manager Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management roles. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing operations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP software.
