Position Summary:The General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the dispensary to include, but not limited to, overseeing the needs of all patient care and hiring and developing the dispensary team. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the dispensary is operating in a manner that is compliant with all state and local rules and regulations. The General Manager will be the main point of contact with the Board of Pharmacy and will oversee administrative duties of the dispensary.Essential Job Functions:Manage, supervise, and direct the daily operations of the dispensary in accordance with state and local rules and regulationsWork supervisor to develop and implement dispensary policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with industry standards and in legal compliance with the Department of Health and Human ServicesMaintain an in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the dispensary as well as industry-wide product knowledge; provide education to dispensary associates about medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanismsOversee all aspects of receipt, storage, packaging, labeling, handling, tracking and dispensing of products containing medical marijuana and medical marijuana waste in accordance with state and local rules and regulationsMaintain a professional public relations image that communicates the mission for The Forest to the public and the cannabis industry as a wholeResponsible for communicating any regulatory and/or business needs to company leadershipDirect hiring, scheduling, development, performance reviews, discipline, promotion, or termination activities of the dispensary staffOther duties as assigned by your supervisorQualifications:Required:Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have a high school diploma, or the equivalentAssociates or bachelor's degree in Business or related field or commensurate experience, preferably in the retail industry, idealMust be able to pass all background check requirements and obtain licensing as set forth by the Board of PharmacyMust be able to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodationMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languagePreferred:Dispensary or cannabis industry experience and knowledge of Metrc or seed to sale tracking systemsExperience ordering for high-volume retail/hospitality settingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:This section outlines the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the Dispensary Manager to be successful in their role.
