Job Summary: The University of Kentucky, Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a qualified physician to join our General Internal Medicine clinic. This position will have split responsibilities – providing patient care in our General Internal Medicine clinic, as well as serving as an ambulatory Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine residency program.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Care will be provided in a team-based model with APPs, physicians, and residents collaborating to care for a panel of patients. This position will participate in the supervision of residents and other learners in clinic. Additional responsibilities can include participation in community outreach programs and health education initiatives, as well as in our mission of educating healthcare professionals for the state of Kentucky.Associate Program Director Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of the program's ambulatory curriculum; assisting in leading efforts to recruit and retain diverse residents; fostering an inclusive learning environment; and creating and disseminating scholarship in the area of graduate medical education.
Qualified applicants must be board eligible or board certified in internal medicine, capable of fulfilling the requirements of a primary care physician, and committed to upholding the values and standards of the University of Kentucky and the Department of Internal Medicine.
