General Accounting Position

Job Summary:Osseo Automotive is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a General Accountant. This is a full-time, hourly position in the accounting and finance department within the auto industry. Based in Osseo, Wisconsin, this individual contributor role offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Compensation & Benefits:The compensation for this position ranges from $18 to $23 per hour, paid semi-monthly. Our comprehensive benefits package offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and employee discounts on vehicle purchases and repairs.Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgerAssist in preparing and analyze financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basisReconcile bank statements and credit card transactionsVehicle stocking/recording dutiesConduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and complianceCollaborate with other departments to collect and analyze financial data for various projectsMaintain and organize accounting records in compliance with company policies and regulationsIdentify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely mannerAssist with year-end closing procedures and annual auditsStay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting standardsRequirements:Associates degree in accounting is preferred1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the auto industryStrong understanding of GAAP and accounting principlesProficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a teamExperience with inventory and purchase order accounting is a plus
