In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our garden center operations, ensuring the efficient and effective management of our retail space, inventory, and customer service experience. The Garden Center Operations Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our garden center while fostering a positive and engaging environment for both customers and staff.Key Responsibilities:1 Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of garden center staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional customer service and productivity.2 Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering, and replenishment to ensure adequate stock levels of plants, gardening supplies, and related merchandise.3 Visual Merchandising: Oversee the layout and presentation of the garden center to optimize visual appeal and product visibility, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers.4 Customer Service: Maintain a high standard of customer service by providing knowledgeable assistance, answering inquiries, and resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.5 Sales and Promotions: Develop and implement sales strategies and promotional activities to drive revenue growth and increase customer engagement.6 Operational Efficiency: Streamline operational processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize costs, while upholding quality standards and compliance with regulations.7 Staff Training and Development: Implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in areas such as plant care, product knowledge, and customer service.8 Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to maintain a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a garden center or similar environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach. Solid understanding of plant care and gardening techniques.
