Job summary
Inspect, service, and repair structural components on Army planes and helicoptersEnsure aircraft are ready for training, rescue, humanitarian, security, or combat missionsUtilize metal-forming techniques and fiberglass materials for part fabrication

Responsibilities
• Repair and replace aircraft structural components according to technical guidelines• Fabricate structural parts using metal-forming techniques and fiberglass materials• Repair transparent plastic windows and enclosures• Balance fixed-wing aircraft controls and apply primers/paints• Maintain storage facilities for flammable/hazardous materials
Requirements
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals• Experience in repairing aluminum, steel, and fiberglass airframes/coverings• Knowledge of hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems• Proficiency in mathematics and shop mechanics preferred• Familiarity with hand and power tools• Successful completion of 10 weeks Basic Combat Training• Completion of 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
Key Skills Needed
• Engine disassembly and repair• Repair of aluminum, steel, and fiberglass airframes/coverings• Fixing hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems• Mathematics and shop mechanics• Hand and power tool usage
