Summary The position of payroll clerk will be responsible for assisting the payroll specialist with payroll inquires through the Payroll Help Desk,   ADP Invoicing, PBJ reporting, maintaining weekly uploads for RAIN and Further, ect.; ensuring all responsibilities are completed in a timely, compliant and accurate manner.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Monitor and respond timely to Help Desk e-mails and calls. Delegate, log and track status of tickets. Support employees in the field through problem solving process, following standard Help Desk procedures Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention. Ensure garnishment calculations and compliance requirements are completed through ADP Garnishment full service Process Wisley pay cards transactions as necessary Handle all employee questions and/or concerns regarding payroll discrepancies in a timely manner. Process and respond to employment verifications. Process and respond to unemployment inquiries and requests for information PBJ Reporting, process monthly reports and send to payroll specialist as needed. Maintain all ADP monthly invoicing Scanning project – Updating all 2024 file to electronic files. Qualifications Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.
Education and Experience 2 year college degree or equivalent. 3+ years of payroll experience. Previous experience in ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enhanced-Time or WF Manager Knowledge of federal and state, tax jurisdiction rules affecting payroll preparation Possess sound judgment when planning and accomplishing goals Have excellent project and time management skills (especially under critical deadlines) Extremely detail-oriented & thorough Judgement/Decision Making/Problem Solving - utilizes effective approaches for choosing a course of action for developing appropriate solutions Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities; able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing internally and externally. Be able to work under strict confidentiality Be flexible in a variety of situations Excellent verbal and written communications skills with all levels of the company Strong computer skills, MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Ability to maintain focus in spite of interruptions Ability to create policy and procedure documentation Able to work well independently and with other team members with minimal supervision Platinum Service® Platinum Service® is characterized by a high level of responsiveness delivered in a flawless, timely and caring way. Additional Information All employees are expected to follow all facility policies and procedures. These policies and procedures can be found in the employee handbook, department policy and procedure manuals and with your supervisor.
This position may be required to work beyond normal work hours, additional shifts, weekends and holidays when necessary. This position is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g. severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
