Takes the Guest Experience to the next level by overseeing the setup, execution, and operation of Signature Events and Festivals, Group Sales Catered Events, Associate Events, Associate Transportation, the Boardwalk Cruiser Pedicabs, and other special activities and experiences throughout the season and off-season. This leader will oversee associates and leadership in the Park Services & Event Operations department. They will Supervise the daily, property-wide operations of Associate Transportation, Park Services and Events. Operations Supervisors oversee location specific leaders and assist in the organization of individual teams in order to achieve goals as set by department management. An Operations Supervisor may act in the capacity of the Area Manager of Park Services in his or her absence.
Oversee and assist the department's leadership including Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Area Supervisors in supervising their individual teams. Responsibilities includes mentoring leaders and associates, authorizing decisions, directing initiatives, delegating tasks, motivating teams, supporting recognition programs, and enforcing Cedar Fair's Code of Conduct. Verifies that work completed by individual Park Services and Events teams meets or exceeds the standard as set by department management. Resolves concerns in a timely manner and informs management of any delay in achieving a standard. This responsibility includes consistently reviewing, auditing, and controlling the department's official operations checklists. Understands, supports, and executes the requests of management. This responsibility may include organizing procedures, demonstrating expectations, analyzing results, developing a standard, and establishing a process to be sustained by the department's standard operating procedures. Understands, supports, and executes inter-departmental requests. This responsibility may require collaboration, correspondence, or negotiation with another department's associate, leader, management, or senior management. Implementing solutions to these requests may require an ability to advise, capability to adapt or expedite resources, and a willingness to execute projects derived through unique circumstances. Anticipates and predicts operational needs based on past precedent, reoccurring concern, or management recommendation. Recognizes these opportunities and rectifies the circumstances prior to them becoming a concern to the Park Services and Events operation. Prepare and execute the Associate Transportation System, including managing schedules, training drivers, and facilitating special transportation for associate activities. Other duties as assigned. Must have 2-4 years related management experience in a fast-paced, hospitality setting Event Operations and/or Custodial experience preferred Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
