Responsibilities
• Teach classroom, clinical, and laboratory sessions• Curriculum development/restructuring• Committee assignments• Student academic advising• Student recruitment• Assessment of student learning• Responsibility for equipment, materials, and supplies• Review of adjunct faculty applications and credentials• Budget management• Provide a teaching demonstration
Requirements
• Dental hygienist graduate from an accredited program or a dentist with an education background• Demonstrated skillset in dental labs• Create a positive hands-on learning environment• Pass a background check and have a valid U.S driver's license with a good driving record• Preferred understanding of Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accreditation standards• Knowledge and skill in educational theory and methodology• Previous student advising and counseling• Ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning• Physical demands: occasional lifting of 10 pounds, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate office equipment
