The Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for assisting with daily production which include ensuring orders and shipments are picked and packed correctly and within service levels, training employees, kitting and special projects are done timely and accurately. In addition, the Fulfillment Supervisor needs to use the warehouse and order management and carrier software to help ensure accurate shipping and fulfillment services.
Essential Job Functions
Working under the direction of the Warehouse Manager. Provides training and directions to pick and packing personnel. Help oversee kitting and special projects. The Warehouse Supervisor should be aware of all available methods of product delivery with our carriers. Work with Account Management staff and other resources in the company to ensure client work is managed effectively.
Responsibilities for the Fulfillment Supervisor are:
Training of picking and packing personnel
Delegating order and projects to warehouse personnel
Monitor pack floor staff
Processing orders from specific clients
Manage Scan and Carrier shipment stations, unscannable packaging, and other system errors
Understanding of all available methods of delivery and how to reach out to the different carriers
Ensure all packages are sent out daily and in a timely manner
Close all carriers and send up to date data
Work closely warehouse operations staff and Account Managers
Promotes motivation among staff to strive for efficient and effective warehouse
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
Other duties as assigned
Internal / External Cooperation
Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse
Delegate's authority and responsibility as required to achieve company goals. Maintains accountability and follow-up on outcomes
Sets examples for all staff in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational skills, and work habits
Works with other departments within the company to ensure customer satisfaction
Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Desired Skills and Experience
Good functional knowledge of the distribution industry
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility with an ability to lead and work as part of a team
Customer first focus
Distribution or fulfillment WMS or OMS knowledge a plus
Excellent skills in MS Office including Word, Excel
Forklift operator/able to instruct
Scissor lift operator
