This also includes negotiation forinitialmaterialscost structure, ensuring quality standards, andcontinuity in supply chain.Role Responsibilities & TasksFacilitate Technical Collaboration with StakeholdersUnderstand technical market landscape and supplier capabilities and roadmapsFacilitate co-development activities, and technical roadmap collaboration with suppliersCoordinate withinternal EHSS and vendorsafetycomplianceDevelop andManageMaterialsProcurement Sourcing Strategies through stakeholder input, communication,performance monitoringandexecutionSource and Select Suppliers to Meet Technical and Cost Requirements??Align customersinput andstrategic sourcing goalsDrive sourcing requirements and supplierselectionthrough decision matrix in support of technology development, cost reduction, and quality improvement efforts???Assess commercial viability ofmaterialsuppliersPartner with stakeholders to assess Supply Chain risk for new sourcesProvidematerialanalysis toenable bestsourcing decisions. Suppliersmust meet theneeds ofMicronTDcustomers, including Total Cost of Ownership, quality,performanceandsupply continuityrequirementsInitiate and negotiate contracts to completion for new suppliersUnderstandnew technologyrequirementsand ensure supply is capable of meeting future requirementsCoordinate Forecast Projections associated withnew technologydeploymentPartner in Negotiation Processes to Enable FutureMaterial Cost StructurePartner with stakeholders on negotiations with suppliers for strategic sourcing/RFQ eventsUtilize cost modeling and other analytical techniques to drive negotiation processEnsure allpotentialnew businessopportunities eventsare coordinated tofullyleverageglobal business volumeto Micron's advantage before business is awarded.Build and Maintain Strong Supplier and Business Relationships?Partner with stakeholders to communicate Technology Roadmap Requirementsto suppliersInteract with Micron and Supplier executivesto ensure that Micron technology needs are understood.Ensure that theappropriate levelof confidentiality is in use when interacting with suppliersregardingtechnical roadmap requirementsSupport MicronNewSupplier Qualification ProcessPartner with stakeholders to segment suppliers and setting strategic goals based on technical capabilitiesLead the Organization through the Alternate Sourcing Decision ProcessWork withinternalcustomers to define, buildconsensusandidentifysecond sourceopportunitiesEnsure recommended alternate suppliers meet all Supply Chain Risk and Business Continuity criteriaEducationRequired:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experiencein one or more of the following:ChemicalEngineering, Materials ScienceSemiconductor related process developmentOther related field of studyDesired:Master's Degree or equivalent experienceChemicalEngineering, Materials ScienceSemiconductor related process developmentExperienceThe following are examples of experience that is valuabletocandidateto be successful inattainingthis positionStrong technical and market knowledge ofsemiconductor materialsWorking as part of a Category team in an engineeringcapacityInteractions with customers and a customerservice orientationManage interfaces withvariedinternationalsites and customer needsWork independently, in a small team environmentand/orwith a cross functional teamPricingNegotiation experienceProactive natureStrong analytical anddata baseddecision making experienceExcellent internal and external communication capabilitiesHigh levelof capability to design, develop and present concepts and proposals to varied levels within the internal and external organizationQualifications4+years ofexperience inone or moreof the following:Process DevelopmentEngineeringMaterials Science / Development EngineeringPurchasing/ProcurementSupplier/Partner RelationsSupply ChainAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
