This position is a strong ambassador for The Inn in all of their interactions with our guests – those staying overnight in one of our 23 beautiful guest suites, as well as those dining with us in our world-famous dining room.Responsibilities:This is a unique position, a cross between a hotel front desk agent and a restaurant host/hostess positionStrong multi-tasking of front desk duties which include, but not limited to, checking guests in/out, seating guests in the dining room or living room, answer telephone calls, check emails, relaying guest requests, walking food from the kitchen to the dining room tables and checking the guests' coatsAbility run daily reports and complete daily checklistMust greet all guests as though you are welcoming them to your own homeCoordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering department to track room availability- communicate if there are any issues and follow up accordinglyWork closely with both the FOH Dining Room and Culinary team to ensure all guest requests are communicatedBe anticipatory of guest needs and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional mannerMust maintain professional etiquette with all guests and employeesConstantly monitor the lobby, public areas and front driveway to ensure the areas are clean and free of debrisAfter training/certification: demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Inn and its history, demonstrate proficiency with Resortsuite and Tock software and meet Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactions and assist guests with questions about the property, history of the Inn, surrounding areas and the amenities and packages offered at the InnMust follow all disinfecting and sanitization policiesQualifications:1-2 years of Front Desk (hotel) or restaurant host/service experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoosFamiliarity with Forbes StandardsAbility to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or FrenchCertification in alcohol awareness programCertification in CPRPrior experience with Resortsuite and TockAbility to communicate in English both orally and in writingAn eagerness to learn new information with a positive attitudeAble to take constructive criticism to help improve faultsStrong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to speak using clear and professional languageAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to process all payments, including credit card, cash and gift certificatesAbility to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when neededMust be able to lift 30+ lbsAble to stand, bend and walk for long periods of timeFrequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbingBenefits:Health, vision and dental insurance (full time employees)Paid time off (Full time employees)401(k) retirement plan with matchOn-the-job trainingEmployee education allowanceAdvancement potentialFlexible schedulesEmployee appreciation eventsComplimentary uniformsDelicious "family" meals daily prepared by the chefsReferral bonusesCompetitive pay
