BCT Cast Products LLC, a division of Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT), has a full- time Foundry Electrician position available. Our electricians work in a clean, dry environment doing production and maintenance electrical work. There are frequent opportunities to work overtime , and our electricians receive additional pay for travel !

Located in the historic renovated Allis Chalmers building in West Allis we are proud to announce the expansion of our manufacturing to include a new state-of-art Cast Products facility which is also located in West Allis. Our new Cast Products facility will feature the latest technology for the precision casting of shot blast wear components as well as utilization of new eco-friendly products that will create a cleaner working environment. We are looking for motivated Foundry Electricians ready to contribute in all areas of our plant to create a truly remarkable, world-class facility.
General Description Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the electrician will complete all electrical work as instructed. This will include maintenance and production electrical work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Be sure you and the people around you are working safely.
2. Helps drive and support BCT's Culture and Core Values.
3. Layout and install wiring circuits in conformance with established codes.
4. Ability to use hand and power tools properly.
5. Read and interpret electrical schematics to wire machines and panels.
6. Have good communication skills with the ability to interact well with other teams at the foundry and the main BCT facility.
8. Ability to move, push, pull, or lift moderately heavy objects.
9. Ability to work at heights, climb and work on ladders, scissors lifts, and articulating lifts.
10. Troubleshooting electrical issues in house and in the field of new and used equipment.
11. Ability to read Electrical machine drawings and schematics.
12. Helps drive and support BCT's core values.

Electrical wiring and conduit knowledge as well as strong t roubleshooting skills Must have a valid Driver's License Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously; attention to detail with strong organization skills. Ability to read Electrical machine drawings and schematics. Proficient in conduit bending. EMT, IMC, RMC. Have excellent communications skills with the ability to interact well with others. Ability to use hand and power tools properly. Basic computer skills. Education and/or Experience Journeyman or Masters license, or five to seven years of relate d experience, or ten to twelve years of progressively responsible related experience, or a combination of education and experience. Experience with PLC's, control systems, and root cause analysis is preferred but not required. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to use foot/feet or hand/hands to operate machinery. The electrician will frequently talk and listen, climb or balance and reach above shoulders. H/she will frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or touch, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and move from place to place. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, color vision, and depth perception. The employee will occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver several hundred pounds a short distance. The employee will frequently lift up to 25 pounds. Employees will occasionally use material handling equipment, such as forklifts and cranes.
Work Environment This job operates in a factory environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is often loud enough to require hearing protection.
