Details of the offer

About the Company Valendo Health is a value-based care company created to improve care and reduce costs for people with diabetes, and empower Endocrinologists to shape the future of the practice of Endocrinology. Valendo was started by an experienced team of successful healthcare entrepreneurs who are driven to do this because there is not enough capacity in today's Endocrinology community to meet the growing needs of the diabetes population. This is a travesty because when people with diabetes are cared for by an Endocrinologist they live happier, healthier lives, and they utilize $3,500 less per year in healthcare services. This capacity problem exists because we pay Endocrinologists wrong. Valendo Health is working to solve this problem by creating new Endocrinology practices designed to improve practice economics, enhance the professional lives of Endocrinologists, increase clinical capacity, and improve access to care for people with diabetes. We do this through implementing five operational priorities: Build a multi-disciplinary clinical care team centered led by Endocrinologists Provide support staff charged with reducing the administrative burden faced by Endocrinologists Improve access, outcomes and revenue through the delivery of virtual care services Create a diabetes focused data center designed to risk-stratify the population, track health-status, and develop patient specific care plans Develop, negotiate and manage value-based Endocrinology contracts About the Job We are seeking an experienced clinical Endocrinologist to play a key role in building our company. The Founding Chief Endocrinology Officer will be a core member of the senior management team and will focus on refining our clinical care model, building our patient panel, delivering direct care to our patients, recruiting and overseeing the clinical care team, advising the tech team on the build of our diabetes data center, and participating in all aspects of company strategy, operations and growth.
