Job Summary This position contributes to the company's success by performing accurate and efficient complex maintenance and installation of all phases of mechanical equipment, serves as a quality control point for the work of less senior maintenance mechanics and ensures all work is performed in a safe manner
Job Description Perform PM service on Forklifts and other motorized equipment Perform breakdown repairs on Forklifts and motorized equipment Examines equipment to diagnose problems Disassemble machinery and repair or replaces broken parts Dismantle, test and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools and power tool and tests apparatus to locate defects Clean and lubricate parts Provide advice, guidance and training to less senior maintenance mechanics Inspect the work of others May operate forklift as needed Follow company policies and procedures Support and/or participate in the organization's Continuous Improvement Programs Proactively participates in Client Safety Program Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Skills Required 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance, a plus Minimum 3 years of experience will be considered Good communication skills, written and verbal Able to multi-task under tight deadlines Excellent knowledge of mechanical processes and procedures Knowledgeable with mechanical tools and equipment Able to work overtime as needed Team oriented and the ability to operate with a diverse group Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred TRAINING: Quality Management System and Indoctrination Plant required, New Hire Safety Training Product training as needed Customer specified or supplied training, when required Job specific procedures, work instructions, forms and processes (if applicable) and as needed per QMS revisions and updates Additional Requirements Physical Requirements Standing, bending, sitting, lifting up to 50#, squatting and walking for 8 to 12 hours per day The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions Safety Requirements Must wear required personal protective equipment when in designated areas 1 st Shift: Monday – Friday 5:00am – 5:00pm Saturday 5:00am – 3:00pm Others Team Player Organized and dependable Flexible & Adaptable Accurate & Efficient Detail oriented Safety and quality conscious Pay Rate/Salary $20.00 - $23.00/hr depending on experience.
