Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a full time Sr. Food Services Worker in Nutrition Services.
Shriners Children's Portland is seeking a full-time Food Service Worker to join our team! This position assists in the preparation of patient meals and nourishments; serves cafeteria customers, operates the cash register, assists with catering, and dishwashing, and maintains stock and inventory.
• 3 years of food service experience; preferably in a hospital or cafeteria setting preferred
• High school Diploma or GED
• Current Food Handler's card
• Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English
• Basic math skills and cash-handling ability
• Ability to operate cash register, make correct change and reconcile a cash drawer
• Ability to safely and correctly perform the Heimlich maneuver
• Ability to perform food preparation and safely handle and store food.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds, occasionally
• Serve Safe certification preferred
