Camp Jackson, a branch of the YMCA of Pueblo, is a residential camp located in Rye, CO. Camp Jackson is looking for a Food Service Director who will enthusiastically represent the YMCA by displaying a positive attitude, maintain a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job through the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The Food Service Director will create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while planning, leading and preparing, and serving good tasting, healthy food, will maintain a safe, and clean kitchen. This position will supervise 2 kitchen assistance to serve all meals to the camp community throughout Outdoor Education programs and Summer Camp. Meals and lodging available. Plan, prepare, lead camp meals for 50-125 people Lead kitchen team to successfully serve camp Plan menus and place food orders Create kitchen schedules Dish washing and kitchen clean-up Safety/Risk Management (ServSafe recommended) Will be required to work some stay over weekends as assigned Greet all visitors, campers, and staff with a professional and friendly attitude Act as a positive role model for campers and other staff, demonstrating the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in the performance of job duties These are not the only duties to be performed.
