Set to open in the Spring of 2023, Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will amplify Tempe's revitalized downtown area and bring some of the largest conference and meeting space to the city. The hotel will feature 330 guest rooms, including 11 suites, four dining outlets, a spacious pool deck, retail, and almost 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space with expansive views of the ASU campus and the Tempe cityscape. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join the team at our brand-new upscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will provide Tempe with 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide elevated options for our guests for dining and entertainment.
This role is budgeted to start August 1, 2023. Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in manager's job description. Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies. Hold pre-meal meetings. Follow up on established training steps. Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction. Communicate with guests and receive feedback. Stay on the floor during peak hours. Observe, teach and correct staff's service. Examine food preparation and beverage presentation. Assist manager in; scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly. Prepare maintenance request and follow-up. Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste. Minimum of 2 years Food & Beverage Management experience, preferably in a luxury 4 diamond hotel. When considering experience, managerial skills, leadership talents, administrative experience and a hospitality professional mindset will be considered. Must have the ability to manage deadlines. General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws. Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents. *This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
