If you're interested in joining a high performing team, pushing the boundaries with a clean sheet development of re-usable liquid launch vehicle, this is your opportunity!FLUIDS ENGINEER IIAs a Fluids Engineer II with our Ground Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, build, activation, and operation of fluid/process systems in direct support of our Neutron Launch Vehicle for Launch Complex 3. You will be involved in project planning and coordination, and you will be working closely with technicians to ensure that projects are delivered on time and in accordance with applicable specifications.To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work on multiple cross discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management, communication, and supervision skills. You must also have high level decision-making skills as well as a good understanding of engineering change processes. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:??Design of fluid systems including cryogenics, hydraulics, fuels, high pressure gases and HVACSystem sizing and analysis by hand calculation and numerical methodsGenerate & maintain schematics of fluid/process systems e.g. P&IDs, connection diagramsComponent selection, development, and maintenance of BOMsInteract with suppliers and internal teamsSupport certification of launch pad fluid systemsSupport maintenance program developmentGet your hands dirty during project build phases  YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:?Bachelor's degree in mechanical or process engineering, or other technical degree2+ years of experience in process engineering, design, test and/or operations in the aerospace industry; or other industrial sectors Ability to perform fundamental fluid system analysisExperience with 3D CAD & PLM software, such as NXTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:??Experience with piping systems (large or small)Experience with launch pad systems, engine test stand, or other similar industry equipmentExperience with equipment for use with oxygenE-Plan, NX and Teamcenter experienceExperience with Nodal Analysis Tools (e.g. GFSSP, AFT)Experience with pipe stress software (e.g. Ceasar II)Experience with ASME, ASTM, NFPA, and/or NASA ground system standards would be an assetAbility to work in fast paced, autonomously driven environment Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationshipsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.  Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing. Must be physically able to commute to buildingsOccasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
