The Flooring Sales Rep role goal is to reach out to and follow up with customers, visit the home or job site, measure the job identifying everything needed to do the job, provide quotes, close the sale and follow up throughout the process. You will also represent the company in ways to increase your sales like: Home Shows, fairs, networking events, etc. Reports To : General Manager
Position Overview: As a Flooring Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling flooring products to residential and commercial customers. You will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing expert guidance and assistance throughout the purchasing process.
Key Responsibilities :
Customer Engagement: Prospect customers, including following up on leads from various sources Greet customers warmly and ascertain their flooring needs. Listen attentively to customers' preferences and offer suitable product recommendations. Provide detailed product information, including features, benefits, and pricing. Guide customers through their options in the home or the showroom, highlighting various  flooring options and assisting with sample selection. Sales Generation: Actively engage in sales activities to meet or exceed monthly sales targets. Utilize effective sales techniques to close deals and secure orders. Follow up with leads and inquiries promptly to maximize sales opportunities, including phone  calls, text and video messaging Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies and campaigns. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, new product launches, and competitor offerings. Conduct ongoing research to deepen understanding of flooring materials, installation  methods, and maintenance requirements. Demonstrate expertise in different types of flooring to address customer inquiries and  concerns. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring  customer satisfaction. Handle customer complaints or escalations professionally and promptly to maintain positive  relationships. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions and activities. Prepare quotations, invoices, and other necessary documents in a timely manner. Requirements :
Proven experience in sales Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Strong customer focus with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, CRM software). Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required. Knowledge of flooring products, installation methods, and industry trends is an asset. Salary & Benefits: Compensation up to $100k: base salary of $40k plus commission 401k with company contribution after 6 months of employment Paid time off and medical benefits fully covered by the employer after 90 days
