Morgan Stanley Investment Management strives to provide outstanding long-term investment performance, service and a comprehensive suite of investment management solutions to a diverse client base, which includes governments, institutions, corporations and individuals worldwide.BASIC PURPOSEProvide trading and systems support on the bank loan trading desk.Job responsibilities include: research/analysis, trade recordation and allocation; compliance monitoring; and maintaining information and portfolio management systems.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Process trades through trade and portfolio management system.- Examine and confirm trades against fund and account compliance. - Review cash balances and cash flows of various funds for reporting to Portfolio Managers and Traders. - Perform trade desk research and monitor portfolio investments through Bloomberg, rating agencies, and other news sources.- Reconcile portfolio holdings from various sources.- Coordinate with portfolio pricing and operations teams. - Build and maintain relationships with Wall Street sales, trading and capital markets contacts; and keep PM and analyst teams apprised of primary transactions, secondary flow, and portfolio news.- Develop a deep knowledge of leveraged credit markets, CLOs, industry sectors, and portfolio strategies. - Other department projects and functions.- Bachelor's degree with strong academic record.- Solid organizational skills with acute attention to detail.- Strong desire to learn and ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to take initiative and solve problems. - Strong analytical skills.- Must be a team player.- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
