Hire, train, assign work, evaluate and manage performance, determine compensation of subordinate staff in compliance with human resources policies and handles all aspects of staff supervision. Maintain awareness of department issues and respond to employee needs and concerns. Communicate with employees to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.- Oversee team responsible for the analysis and research of requested maintenance and repair parts such as brakes, tires, hydraulic non-conductive, and other critical components so that they meet and or exceed manufacturer safety and performance requirements and are in line with standardization strategies.- Leads planning and coordination with management and schedulers providing timely and accurate updates on back-ordered, long lead time parts and materials that can impact asset downtime or project schedules. You will work with vendors to expedite or make material substitutions when vital.- Provide safety leadership. Ensure safety procedures and policies are adhered to. Take ownership to ensure employees are working safely. Ensure employees receive required safety training.- Supervise the planning, procurement and monitoring of inbound movement of supplies and materials with sufficient lead time, services and equipment from suppliers to coincide with project deadlines and budgets for multiple repair shops- Analyze stock levels of critical materials and parts to ensure adequate supply and availability for maintenance and repair operations- Be responsible for the management of multiple LCRA fuel tanks to ensure an adequate supply of fuel for the day-to-day operations of LCRA's fleet, as well as for emergency preparedness purposes.
