Hire, train, assign work, evaluate and manage performance, determine compensation of subordinate staff in compliance with human resources policies and handles all aspects of staff supervision. Maintain awareness of department issues and respond to employee needs and concerns. Communicate with employees to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.- Oversee team responsible for the analysis and research of requested maintenance and repair parts such as brakes, tires, hydraulic non-conductive, and other critical components so that they meet and or exceed manufacturer safety and performance requirements and are in line with standardization strategies.- Leads planning and coordination with management and schedulers providing timely and accurate updates on back-ordered, long lead time parts and materials that can impact asset downtime or project schedules. You will work with vendors to expedite or make material substitutions when vital.- Provide safety leadership. Ensure safety procedures and policies are adhered to. Take ownership to ensure employees are working safely. Ensure employees receive required safety training.- Supervise the planning, procurement and monitoring of inbound movement of supplies and materials with sufficient lead time, services and equipment from suppliers to coincide with project deadlines and budgets for multiple repair shops- Analyze stock levels of critical materials and parts to ensure adequate supply and availability for maintenance and repair operations- Be responsible for the management of multiple LCRA fuel tanks to ensure an adequate supply of fuel for the day-to-day operations of LCRA's fleet, as well as for emergency preparedness purposes. Also responsible for ensuring inspections and maintenance of fuel system.You qualify with:- Seven or more years of experience in business management which may include budgeting, business planning, contract management, customer service, or other relevant experience.- A degree(s) in business management, business administration or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.You are a great fit with:- Experience working in a fleet environment; operations analysis, process improvement, project management, business systems analysis or financial analysis.- Expertise in materials planning and management; inventory management and control with strong analytical skills; logistics principles, methods, and procedures.- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, prints, parts lists, invoices, packing lists and manufacturer's manuals in order to ensure accurate parts replacement- Skill in providing leadership, direction and supervision of staff- Ability to balance competing and high priority work demandsYou gain:- Competitive salary & medical, dental, vision and legal insurance- Paid time off, including time for vacation, sick and family care leave- 401(k) match up to 8% that includes a student loan 401(k) contribution program option- Life and disability insurance- Wellness program including wellness incentive- Extensive learning & development programsAnd more - all to create a compelling and rewarding work environment.Equal Opportunity EmployerLCRA provides equal employment opportunities and a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
