We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Manager specializing in repair and maintenance to join our team. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the repair and maintenance operations for our fleet of vehicles, ensuring their reliability, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a commitment to excellence in fleet management. Essential Job Functions: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of the fleet vehicles. Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs for all vehicles in the fleet. Manage a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs, including service history, costs, and warranties. Procure parts, tools, and equipment necessary for vehicle repairs and maintenance activities. Monitor fleet performance metrics, such as downtime, repair costs, and vehicle availability, and implement improvements as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards related to vehicle maintenance and repair. Develop and manage relationships with external service providers, including repair shops and parts suppliers. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and finance, to optimize fleet performance and minimize costs. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in fleet maintenance and repair. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in fleet management, with a focus on repair and maintenance. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, engines, and components. Previous experience managing a team of mechanics and technicians. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards related to fleet operations. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and fleet management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
