Job Description
SUMMARY: The overall duty of the Fleet Maintenance Technician is to plan and conduct preventative and required maintenance activities on a fleet of skid and trailer mounted water treatment technologies located at our Raleigh, NC warehouse location. Activities include those related to the mechanical, electrical and plumbing components of the various technologies used to support our commercial efforts in promoting various water treatment technologies. The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for working with the pilot testing group to identify which technology trailers are a priority for preparations for service, tracking the services required for each, conducting the required maintenance, conducting wet tests to identify any new maintenance issues, maintaining a spare parts inventory, ordering replacement components, establishing and maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for each unit, coordinating and overseeing third party maintenance efforts and working with the Pilot Group manager and process engineers to construct new skid or trailer mounted units as new technologies are developed. The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator will also support the pilot testing team with any equipment issues that may arise during their field testing activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for each testing unit Perform the required maintenance all equipment and pilot trailers and maintain the required spare parts inventory Perform wet tests on testing units based on a priority list established by the Pilot Group Manager to confirm proper operations and identify any open maintenance items needed to be addressed Coordinate and conduct new testing unit construction with design assistance from the pilot testing group and process & mechanical design teams. This includes ordering parts/equipment and submitting requests for quotes to third party companies to perform construction work when required Track and ensure all yearly capital expenditures are completed in a timely manner  Maintain capital expenditures budgets and avoid cost overruns Work with the Instrumentation and Controls group to identify issues and corrective actions Support the pilot testing group field operations by loading and unloading pilot testing equipment and shipping/receiving critical equipment when needed Requires approximately 10-15% travel within the US in support of the pilot testing activities and/or third party maintenance/construction inspections and oversight Qualifications
GENERAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma 2-5 years of previous related experience  Good understanding of electrical, electrical components and instrumentation  Basic Plumbing experience required -- no certifications required  Forklift and telehandler operating experience preferred but not required Additional Information
