Responsibilities
• Inspect, service, and install commercial fire alarm systems• Test devices and verify proper functionality• Replace defective components• Communicate with customers regarding system status• Accurately complete all sections of Service Trade software
Requirements
• Possess or acquire NICET Level 2 and Michigan Fire Alarm Specialty Tech License• Two or more years of experience with troubleshooting and installations of fire alarms• Strong knowledge of inspections and NFPA 72 requirements• Personal tools required: VOM meter, pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, channel locks• Must be available for on-call duties and have the ability to travel• Maintain a good driving record• Independent work capability• Effective teamwork skills for large inspection projects• Capacity to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds
