Ensures that Tech Electronics' cabling systems are installed per plans and specifications and/or Tech Electronics Scope of Work definition and per local and national codes.Responsibilities:Installation and Maintenance:Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings.Troubleshoot and repair any issues with fire alarm components and systems.* Testing and Inspection:Conduct routine testing and inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.Generate detailed reports documenting system status and any identified issues.Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all installations, inspections, and repairs.Create and update fire alarm system drawings and schematics.Customer Communication:* Communicate with clients to explain system functionality, provide recommendations for improvements, and address any concerns.Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, other technicians, and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm systems with overall building systems.Installs cabling systems including field devices for assigned projects. Ensures that the cabling system is being installed per plans, specifications, scope of work and local and national codes. Informs Technician and/or Project Manager of progress and issues relating to the project to ensure the project is installed within designated timelines and budgets.Maintains communications with the Project manager and/or Technician throughout the project regarding project site activity.Maintains, accurately completes and promptly turns in all paperwork associated with the project to the Project Manager.Maintains stock of company vehicles as specified by the Project Manager to effectively support the position.Understands and adheres to the installation and safety standards developed and defined by the Company and administered by the Installation Foreman.Maintains a detailed understanding of all local and national codes applicable to Tech Electronics' system installations and ensures system installations adhere to applicable codes.Responsible for suggesting methods to improve operations, processes, efficiency, and service to both internal and external customers.Obtains and maintains manufacturer and industry certifications as scheduled by the Project Manager.Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and managers to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvementsQualifications:Experience:Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.Proven track record of successfully installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in commercial buildings.Certifications:NICET III certifications (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.Network certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA) are highly desirable.Technical Skills:In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, including various manufacturers and models.Familiarity with networking principles and the integration of fire alarm systems with other building systems.Take the next step in your career - APPLY NOW!
