Details of the offer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  include the following: 
Lead and manage process-related projects, linked to Finishing processes, Includes data analysis, solution finding, running trials, training staff, and focusing on delivering results, Support production local teams: Visit and spend time on the shopfloor to understand the situation and make sound decisions, Lead or participate to working groups, Suggest, lead, and implement actions to improve safety, quality and cost efficiency, Improve process control and monitoring through the implementation of new tools, Perform benchmarking through the group, Build and entertain technical network locally and through the group, International travels opportunities (1-2 per year) Domestic travers opportunities (1 per month) Organize and make available the company's technical knowledge, Develop new tools and technologies for the 15-processes related to finishing with strategical suppliers, Report the technical results of finishing lines in NA in a monthly basis, Support the ramp up of finishing line and continuous performance improvement, Safety and Security: Observes safety and security procedures, Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines, Reports potentially unsafe conditions, Uses equipment and materials properly, Adhere to Vallourec Culture of Diversity Equity and Inclusion Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Critical Analysis, Decision Making & Commitment, Communication, Collaboration & Teamwork, With every level of the company, and various departments, Flexibility, Customer Focus – proactivity and resilience to move forward, Curiosity, humility & willing to learn continuously, Organization and Planning - Autonomy, Methodology & Rigor  Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required, 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, or other engineering experience in manufacturing industry, Demonstrated experiences in project management and industrial cross-functional teamwork (among other production, methods, quality, maintenance), Technical knowledge in steel machining or forming processes is a big plus. Skills and Knowledge: Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills, Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines in autonomy, Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, French and/or Portuguese proficiency is a plus. Travel Requirements: This role requires about 1 domestic travel per quarter. 1 to 2 international travels per year Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities, besides interns.
