An incredible opportunity awaits you to become a Financial Underwriter within our Group Medicare Underwriter team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in underwriting for medical and pharmacy services, crafting rates for both renewing and prospective group accounts. Our team is seeking a dedicated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a knack for research and analysis, handling tasks of moderate complexity with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite for medical and pharmacy services, computing rates for renewing and prospective group accounts.
- Conduct research and analytical tasks, providing rationale and support to both internal teams and clients.
- Prepare ratings for small to mid-size accounts, including a limited variety of financial reports for groups offering retirement benefits to Medicare-eligible members.
- Ensure accurate analysis of financial and benefit exhibits.
- Demonstrate effective planning, time management, and clear communication skills.
- Exhibit attention to detail and organizational prowess.
- Independently manage workload and contribute positively to team efforts.
- Uphold professional standards, regulations, and operating procedures in all tasks.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of risk pool management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to processes.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Analytical prowess and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with exceptional time management skills.
- Passion for contributing to an organization dedicated to enhancing consumer experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing health-related data.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Prior underwriting or financial analysis/risk analysis experience.

Work-At-Home Requirements:
To ensure effective remote work, associates must meet specific criteria outlined below:
- Minimum recommended internet speed: 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection preferred.
- Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections permitted with prior approval.
- Associates residing in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi-weekly payments to cover internet expenses.
- The company will provide necessary telephone equipment for work purposes.
- Dedicated workspace free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
