Financial Eligibility WorkerLocation: North Branch, MNPerforms work managing cases by processing reviews, reviewing cases for completeness and documentation, processing fraud referrals, claims and appeals, assessing and explaining technical and sensitive information to clients, determining initial eligibility, sorting reports and filing documents, and related work as apparent or assigned.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for determining initial eligibility for the Income Maintenance Programs• Interview clients face-to-face to obtain information to substantiate independent decisions of eligibility determinations• Determine immediate need for emergency assistance• Inform client of rights and responsibilities• Review all forms for accuracy and completeness• Explain agency services and other community programs and services available and make referrals as appropriate• Set up case file, maintain complete and accurate case records• Evaluate client(s) circumstances to determine need for referrals to other agencies and community resources• Process eligibility reviews and household income reports monthly, quarterly• Conduct mandatory face-to-face interviews and review determination recertification
Requirements
• High School diploma or GED and moderate experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience• Complete knowledge of all financial programs and MAXIS computer• Considerable knowledge of all community resources and agency operation• Knowledge of human behavior• Interviewing skills and maintaining a good relationship with clients, co-workers, and the public• Ability to make decisions accurately and in a timely manner• Be able to organize large volumes of work with deadline
