The Opportunity As the  Financial Application Specialist , you will have the opportunity to
Serve as a strong technical advisor to internal clients, specifically for the Global Payroll department Advise, mentor, and support development of professionals Provide recommendations, solutions and assists with or may lead implementation Be a functional lead for a complex financial application module or multiple moderately complex modules, responsibilities include system enhancements, testing and configuration Act as liaison between end users and technical staff and provides end user training and support This position works under general direction The Team As part of BV Business Enablement, you will be part of the critical and forward-thinking group that enables our people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible by providing creative solutions.   Functions in this group include CIO/Global Information Technology, Diode, ESH&S, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services. 
Key Responsibilities Product Support:  Assists with implementation of a new Human Capital Management (HCM) system, which include planning, designing, and release Partner with Systems Integration Manager to ensure a smooth transition during HCM system implementation Improve system efficiency by collaborating with business partners to identify required methods in the HCM system Organize meetings with Project & Team leaders to test system effectiveness and resolve any issues, and ensure testing is completed accurately Utilize HCM self-service learning tool to become a "Certified Payroll Implementer" Assist with designing, building, and setup of Global Payroll Leads maintenance of functional setup for complex organization and accounting changes  Troubleshoots and resolve complex issues with financial data interfaces between systems including balancing of financial data that flows between the systems. Identifies root causes and recommends prevention strategies.    Provides daily functional support to end users, including training and module specific support Responsible and may advise for system configuration maintenance Compliance:  Serves as a specialist having technical knowledge Security:  May review security requests based upon professional's role and general security level guidelines for assigned systems. Ensures adherence to necessary procedures by the user community.   System/Software Changes:  Collection and documentation of high-level system change and enhancement requests. May review and prioritize system change and enhancement requests. May work with internal clients to identify business needs.  Reviews and approves conceptual system requirements for specific e-Business development initiatives Writes project management plan for major development initiatives; Project manager for major development initiatives, including tracking issues, requirement decisions, schedule, communication, training, documentation, and implementation.  Lead and participate in execution of project plan including enhancements, implementations, migrations, and upgrades related activities Updating and reviewing user documentation Assesses and reviews testing needs, builds testing plans conducts and documents testing for system changes Communication:  Interaction with primary internal clients and vendors to support complex and escalated support resolution Provide guidance for development of SharePoint sites Training:  Oversees and provides guidance for development of training plan for end users Reporting and Analysis:  Provides complex data / ad hoc reports to users as needed  Vendors:  Participates in vendor software evaluation Primary Internal Clients:  All end users for assigned modules, Officers, Department Heads, finance directors, finance managers and supervisors.  Supervisory & Resource Management:  Leads development, communication and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes for the assigned workgroup. Ensures adherence to corporate and division programs.  Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value. Champions continuous improvement efforts. Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements. Proactively supports, encourages, and facilitates staff to engage in continuous improvement activities.  Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business-related field or information technology, or equivalent experience Typically 7+ years related experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Technical Skills:  Data Entry  Microsoft Excel?(Intermediate to advanced)  Knowledge of payroll taxes and regulations  Knowledge of General Ledger Systems  Knowledge of Payroll Systems (Intermediate)  Microsoft Office Suite; Excel Advanced  Knowledge of Black & Veatch Systems, Advanced  Knowledge of financial processes, Advanced  Knowledge of financial information systems and processes, Advanced  Preferred Non-Technical Skills:  Organizing  Planning  Written Communications  Informing  Peer Relationships  Problem Solving  Dealing with Ambiguity  Education, Experience and Training:  Bachelor's Degree in business-related field or information technology, or equivalent experience  Master Business Administration (MBA) or MS in Accounting, preferred"  Typically, 10+ years related experience; Supervisory experience preferred.  Process improvement certification, preferred.  Work Environment/Physical Demands Typical office environment with hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
