Financial Analyst -- Remote --

Overview:
We're seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our team. About the Role:
As a Financial Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in our financial operations. You'll be responsible for a range of tasks including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Track project expenses and update spend plans as needed
- Generate reports and provide insightful recommendations on project financial status
- Collaborate with Program Management and Support Services
- Assist in proposal preparation for new and existing delivery orders
- Prepare cost estimates and develop spend plans
- Maintain compliance with company and regulatory policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of five years of professional work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of government contract types and basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with financial systems such as Costpoint, Concur, or QlikView
- Leadership or management experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in the GovCon industry is a plus
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, and squat as needed
Clearance Requirements:
This position does not currently require a security clearance, but candidates must pass a background check. US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
