St. Michael's Inc., an employee-owned company, has an opening for a Financial Analyst Journeyman with experience in Federal Financial Management Operations (FMO), delivering budget, finance, revenue, and performance capabilities to enable mission delivery to a large Federal Agency. Candidates should have experience in supporting mission delivery with informed decision-making by employing analytical capabilities and providing financial and budgetary transparency to support mission execution. Additionally, the Financial Analyst Journeyman will possess knowledge in Financial Management, Budget, and Revenue. Location: Washington, DC (NCR Region)
Active Clearance required: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance or possess an active Public Trust Clearance or higher.
Required: Six (6) years of budget/financial analyst experience. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data. Ability to read/interpret management policy, regulations, and directives. The ability to work effectively with a group. Advanced organizational and leadership skills Experience and expertise in analyzing and identifying improvements needed to ad hoc and standard budget and financial management processes. Knowledge of FFMS, Discoverer, Purchase Request Information System (PRISM), Concur Government Edition (CGE) or similar systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint, with expert knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word. Desired: Public Trust Clearance or higher Duties Include: Preparing budget estimates and consolidating budget forecasts. Providing budget justifications by compiling, comparing, and correlating information about current and future programs. Developing and tracking reimbursable multi-year budget planning documents. Monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating spending relative to budget and planning documents. Performs budget formulation procedures/processes involving independent assessments and preparation of detailed analyses, budget estimates, special reports, and other documentation. Uses automated budgetary system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments. Assisting the junior financial analyst through completion of requested deliverables, and control daily activities by constantly measuring, evaluating, and correcting daily, routine, and emerging activities. Education: A Bachelor's degree is required in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline. Six (6) years' work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. An Associate's Degree plus Four (4) years' work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
