About the Role
Working in the company's finance department and reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, this position has broad exposure throughout the company. The Financial Analyst will be a key business partner supporting our supply chain, logistics, and distribution functions.

You'll Make a Difference By
Participating in the long-range planning and annual operating plan processes, developing sales-adjusted department expense forecasts.
Owning and developing multiple supply chain cost center budgets, review, and propose reclass / accrual journal entries, lead monthly financial review meetings, and provide variance analysis to senior leadership.
Tracking monthly distribution department expenses by warehouse, reviewing contracts, trends and future actions and financial objectives to prepare forecasts and present findings to senior leadership.
Helping prepare board of director presentations, providing financial analytics, business insights, and variance analysis.
Producing extensive cost analytics for our distribution teams across all DC's, including cost per unit trends, 3PL and company employed labor actual / forecasting, and plan variance explanations.
Preparing ROI analysis on various initiatives and capital projects and forecast future capital requirements / plans.
Supporting bi-annual product costing updates and analyzing the impact of cost changes.
Supporting the logistics department and finance management by providing detailed freight reporting and insights including variance to budget analysis.

About You
Advanced Excel skills – highly efficient, lookup functions if statements, data importing and linking.
Financial modeling skills and presentation skills.
Must be able to retrieve and interpret complex data, develop reports, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
Experience with Outlook, Word, and Power Point. Cognos, SAP experience highly preferred; or adept with other comparable ERP and reporting software.
Experience with Adaptive Insights and Tableau a huge plus.
Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders as well as work with cross-functional teams.
Problem solving and proven ability to drive issues to solutions.
Bachelor's degree preferably in finance, economics, accounting, business, or statistics / analytics for business. MBA a plus.
3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis in a medium to large size corporation.
Must be flexible and able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $83,000 per year.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
