Why This Role is Important to Us

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst is a key member of the finance team. Gathers, compiles, organizes and documents financial information. Researches background informational material and relevant financial data. Analyzes, consolidates and interprets the data. Performs a variety of ad hoc data and financial analysis requests on behalf of the stakeholders, central departments or management. Works under supervision on routine but productive assignments.

What You'll Be Doing

Supports on-going analyses of financial results and budgetary data, through forecasting and trending.
Identifies key issues and trends and brings them to the attention of management.
Builds financial models to support operational initiatives and analytical endeavors and enable decision-making on business and strategic matters.
Monitors, analyzes and evaluates complex data using system tools to identify variances, problems and trends. Researches and resolves data integrity issues. Works independently or with other departments to solve problems.
Assists in the development and monitoring of annual and multi-year budgets, projections, forecasts and trends.
Acts as a resource to staff in other departments, providing information and explanations related to financial data as needed. Works directly with the department managers to review financial results on a monthly/quarterly basis. Provides necessary insight into variances to budget as needed. Engages the department leaders in the reforecast process.
Generates and distributes regularly scheduled financial reports. Reviews and organizes financial and operational data for reports.
Performs other duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum 3 years' experience in the area of financial or data analysis.
Must have financial statement analysis budget vs. actual reporting/analysis experience
Understanding and working knowledge of accounting and finance theories, practices, and regulations.
Experience in modeling and forecasting.

Experience in healthcare finance desirable.

Detail oriented with strong technical writing, communication and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
SQL/Access a plus.

Budgeting software experience preferred
