The Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting is primarily focused on monthly close and related general ledger activities. The Financial Analyst will support internal business partners, related cost centers and departments. This role works closely with cross-functional Business Partners, Accounting, External Reporting, Treasury, and other finance management located in various businesses.
Reports to: Manager, Corporate Accounting
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a deep understanding of the company and business processes Lead monthly financial close for assigned cost centers, by preparing journal entries and working with external departments to gather relevant information Prepare monthly account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure Financial Statement accuracy and completeness Assist FP&A team in analyzing expenses and meet with Business Partners to review projection and communicate actual results Complete monthly analyses to ensure expenses for responsible departments are in line with expectations and to understand, anticipate and communicate any variances Ensure compliance with SOX and other internal controls Identify and initiate process improvements Assist management with various ad hoc analysis and presentations Required Skills: Understanding of US GAAP accounting standards Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment Self-directed and accountable Takes initiative and is curious, driven, flexible/adaptable. Detail oriented. Excellent Excel skills is required with at least a basic knowledge of PowerPoint and Word Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills Qualifications: Experience: 2+ years' experience in Accounting with reconciliation, journal entry, & month-end close experience Knowledge of Finance/GL systems Preferred Qualifications: MBA or CPA is valued, but not required Public Accounting (Big 4) experience Oracle ERP, Oracle ARCS/FCCS, or similar is valued, but not required Experience with Budgeting & Financial Statement experience is preferred Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting is required #LI-Remote
