The Creative Partners Group (The CPG), by MPG, is a comprehensive retail solutions company. The CPG represents established and emerging brands across all categories of merchandise and provides acclaimed services that build brands and businesses. Deep Dive is an entity of The CPG, which provides category management and analytics as the foundation and to further fuel growth. This role is ideally based in Minneapolis, MN, but remote locations will be considered for the right candidate.
JOB OVERVIEW In this role, you will work closely with the client's team to manage all their trade spend with Target. You will spend much of your time organizing, tracking, and executing financial transactions between Target and the client on behalf of the client's Sales members who you will work closely with every week. This detail-oriented and communicative role is a great way to learn about Target, the client, and the retail industry while also building professional relationships with a wide variety of individuals. In this role, you are expected to work in-office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with the option to work from home the rest of the week. Many people also work in-office on Thursdays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Meet weekly with the client's Sales Managers to discuss their category's financial state and assist them where needed. Learn and become proficient in Target's systems to manage the setting up of financial contracts and transactions. Organize and track all planned and actual spend on the client's Excel tracking files. Validate all of Target's charges to make sure that the client is paying for what they have agreed to pay for. Learn and become proficient in the client's systems to manage clearing deductions and communicating planned spend. Respond to and manage all Target audits for the client's Team. Send Monday reports such as Ad and Vendor Income recaps. Other miscellaneous duties that include submitting house orders, creating Off-Invoices, managing 3 rd party expenses, and more. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelor's degree in business or related field required 2+ years' experience Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt based on the varying needs of each of the client's Sales Managers and Directors. Highly Detail oriented to efficiently track and organize the many different transactions and budgets. Self-motivated to stay on top of certain tasks such as clearing deductions, working through audits, and setting up contracts. Proficient in Excel.
